Velvet Meadow Craft Along – Part 1: Let’s Make Our First Two Cards!

It’s finally time to start our Velvet Meadow Craft Along! 

If you have your class kit ready to go, pull it out, grab your favorite crafting essentials, and come craft with me. In Part 1, we’re making the first two cards from this class, and they are such a pretty way to get started!

The Velvet Meadow collection has such a beautiful mix of soft, muted greenery and brighter meadow florals. I especially love that we can create cards that feel completely different while still using coordinating products and design elements.

Card #1 – A Soft & Elegant Thank You

Our first card is all about those gorgeous soft greens and creams.

We’re layering the beautiful floral paper with scalloped die cut pieces, delicate flowers, greenery, ribbon, and a simple “THANKS” greeting. The monochromatic color palette gives this card such a classic, elegant look, while all of the layers and little details make it extra special.

This is one of those cards that could work for so many occasions, and you can never have too many thank you cards ready to send!

Card #2 – A Colorful Meadow

For our second card, we’re bringing in more color!

The beautiful pink, yellow, green, and cream meadow flowers make this card feel bright and cheerful. We’ll add layered scalloped pieces, dimensional flowers, greenery, ribbon, and the sweet sentiment:

“You always make me smile.”

I love the contrast between this card and our first one. They use many of the same types of elements, but the finished cards have completely different personalities.
